Job Description:

Viveport is looking for an AVP of Content Partnerships to help identify, license and manage a portfolio of virtual reality experiences across the home, mobile, location-based and enterprise categories on a global scale. Reporting to the President of Viveport, the AVP of Content will inspire, lead and manage the content team, and determine content strategy across distribution channels as well as help drive innovative partnerships with the creator community to optimize ROI for all parties.

Your ability to clearly communicate the evolving Vive ecosystem and Viveport opportunities externally to independent developers, major entertainment studios, consumer product companies, and technology entities is crucial. The role also requires working closely with various internal business units in the US and in Asia - product, engineering, content operations, marketing and business development – to understand how new features/devices/process have an impact on potential partnerships. You have strong negotiating skills, understanding of distribution models, working knowledge of legal clearances and country-specific regulations and experience with financial modeling.


Your Impact

  • Manage and track a significant number of projects and data constantly looking for efficiencies in aggregating and sharing to improve processes
  • Work with the Viveport Content Acquisitions & Partnership team and other Viveport business owners to define an overall global content strategy for Viveport, across verticals in line with platform feature road map and Vive hardware initiatives
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment across worldwide marketing, product, engineering and content operations teams for holistic approach to deals
  • Perform business analysis of potential content partnerships and marketplace conditions to optimize content portfolio across Viveport
  • Possesses an existing network of content creators and developers or proven ability to navigate content and developer ecosystem
  • Maximize Viveport ROI and ensure alignment with team KPIs to craft, negotiate and close select content partnerships with key creators
  • Prepare and manage content acquisition team budget and oversee partner investments


Your Expertise

  • You have a working knowledge of VR technology and tools
  • You are an avid consumer of content across traditional, digital and social media with a passion for virtual reality and storytelling
  • You thrive in ambiguity, enjoy solving complex problems, and easily navigate large, global organizations
  • You are a strategic and entrepreneurial thinker with an ability to manage and process detailed information while keeping perspective on the bigger picture
  • You demonstrate mastery of verbal and written communication skills including the ability to cultivate internal and external relationships
  • You can think, plan and execute resourcefully, across multiple tasks, with minimal supervision and change direction frequently with excellent project and time management skills


  • BA/BS required; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, content partnerships
  • 7+ years in entertainment or content acquisition


  • Up to 30% of domestic and/or international travel
