Your Impact

Now, more than ever, it is crucially important we develop solutions that will empower frontline workers to make informed decisions to deliver their best work. Help us build the future of augmented reality through human-centered design and cutting-edge user experience for our Work Instructions suite. As a designer for augmented reality, you’ll be partnering with product managers, developers and your fellow designers to deliver outstanding experiences across our work instructions platform. You’ll be responsible influencing decisions and defining the interaction patterns and visual style for our augmented reality offerings.

Your Team

We are a multidisciplinary design team responsible for creating the user experience and interaction paradigms for revolutionary augmented reality products. We live at the intersection of design and technology as creative technologists, data lovers, designers, programmers, and strategic thinkers. As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to design the augmented reality tools that help frontline workers make informed decisions.

Your Skill

We're looking for a visionary, talented, and driven designer who enjoys collaborating with others to create breakthrough immersive experiences. You can jump between Figma and Unity to test out builds of your latest concepts. You can give a master-class on the impacts of occlusion and the challenges of limited field-of-view. You understand the complexity of poly-counts. You recognize the constraints, but also the transformational power of modern AR capable head-mounted-displays (HoloLens, Magic Leap, RealWear, etc).


  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Create effective and modern interfaces and interactions for AR capable head-mounted-displays.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, design leads, UX/UI designers, and engineers to prioritize product functionality and deliver valuable, high-quality products.
  • Using user-centered design, help to define features and contribute to the overall direction of the product.
  • Build rapid prototypes for user testing and help synthesize results for the product team
  • Foster a highly positive and collaborative team culture.


Skills and preferred qualifications

  • Experience designing interfaces for augmented reality (AR), which includes UX and UI design, wireframing and prototyping.
  • Experience in digital design with tools such as Figma (preferred), Adobe Creative Suite, InVision or Sketch.
  • Previous experience designing and developing interfaces within Unity.
  • Comfort with light level coding with C# and Unity.
  • Familiarity with 3D tools (Maya, etc)
  • Experience developing enterprise software (preferred).
  • Must have a portfolio of examples where you contributed towards the UI and / or UX of a shipped product on an AR capable head-mounted-display (HMD).
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: easily adaptable and comfortable with the ambiguity of developing a product with emerging technology.
  • MRTK experience a big plus!

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience
  • BA, BS or BFA
