Job Description:

We are the Microsoft Mesh team, responsible for a suite of services including Microsoft Mesh, Azure Remote Rendering and Azure Spatial Anchors, that bring holograms to life across all platforms. Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build Microsoft Mesh.  The ideal candidate is inclusive and wants to mentor a team of engineers who have a wide range of skills and experiences.  You are a person with deep software engineering background and have shipped multiple products. You are able to use your expertise to build interactive and streaming services that augment the capability of Mixed Reality devices, at scale, anywhere in the world.  All this and operate in an agile startup-like environment.

Our team builds high scale real-time collaboration and distribution services using both restful and streaming technologies.  We work daily with technologies like Kubernetes, the latest .net, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, global traffic management, Janus, Linux and many other cutting edge technologies.

Our team builds high scale real-time collaboration and distribution services using both restful and streaming technologies.  We work daily with technologies like Kubernetes, the latest .net, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, global traffic management, Janus, Linux and many other cutting edge technologies.  We also build a cross-platform client foundation that is optimized for each hardware platform and development target (Native/Unity/etc.) as well as area-specific frameworks.  These are primarily developed in C++, using latest standards and modern C++ approaches.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of professional development experience

- A strong desire to create an inclusive environment to teach and mentor junior engineers

- Ability to work across teams

- A desire to invent new technologies when existing ones are not sufficient to meet the needs

- Experience in (one of) C/C++/C#

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
