An exact, high-realism likeness of a person in Virtual Reality presents a whole host of ethical considerations. These range from identity, self-image and body politics to privacy considerations and spoofing. The FRL Pittsburgh research team is looking for exceptional interns to help us create a revolution in virtual reality: achieving true photorealistic telepresence, where you can be with anyone, anywhere, at anytime--as yourself. Because the technology is entirely new, we have the kind of opportunity ethicists and designers dream of: the ability to allow ethical and privacy considerations to steer the creation of a VR social platform from the beginning. If you are interested in questions such as the following, then this role might be for you.
