Job Description:

Virtual and augmented reality are transforming design and creation through new immersive and collaborative experiences that will impact how major segments like entertainment, architecture, engineering, construction, and manufacturing converge. The industry is being transformed by XR technology growth, creating new ways of working to review, collaborate and create.

In this role, you will be part of the AR/VR/MR (XR) team responsible for Autodesk XR strategy, pushing the development of XR in the Autodesk portfolio and ecosystem. Our team guides and assists product groups across Autodesk to deliver XR workflows to our customers. This role offers a chance of learning a lot in a dynamic team, working on brand new tech, while still being part of a large organization with the support that comes with it. The chosen candidate will report to the Senior Product Manager for XR.

This position is work-from-home while our offices are closed for COVID, but afterward will be at our office in downtown Atlanta. Relocation to Atlanta is possible for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the central key piece between strategy, users, technology, partners, and the team
  • Support the Sr. PM with XR strategy and partnerships
  • Interact with users and customers to fully understand the problems they are facing in their workflows to craft problem statements
  • Drive what user problems the team solves on a day-to-day basis
  • Work with the Sr. PM, the experience designer and software developers to perform research and implement XR proof of concepts and solutions
  • Help prepare and perform XR demos for internal and external stakeholders and inspire them in communicating our vision and direction
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of our XR solutions
  • Consider inputs from design and technical stakeholders, and prioritize requirements for XR solution development
  • Influence the development of our solution by directly participating in agile process and ceremonies
  • Help the XR team with the backlog

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with AR/VR/MR
  • Experience as a product owner or product manager
  • Team player and a fantastic collaborator
  • Ability to communicate complex technical details coherently to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Pragmatic, good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work in a start-up fashion even within a big company (things will move fast)
  • Experience in an agile development environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Knowledge of basic 3D math and modern graphics pipeline
  • Experience with full stack models, services, and cloud deployment
  • Game engine experience with either Unity or Unreal
  • Experience working with 3D tools used in Architecture, Engineering & Construction and/or Design & Manufacturing industries
